Not always.  Often what comes out is pure vitriol and aggression that the poster would never have the courage to say to a person's face.

Hiding behind the anonymity of the internet has become a social media disease for some.  JMHO.

Also, for anyone who thinks s(he) is posting anonymously and no one will ever know who is behind that nic - we should all know by now that's not true.  If it's important enough, we can all be identified, right down to our street address.
