I think that a lot of these stories are 100% bogus, especially the ones with only 1 or two posts, and a sign up date that is years old.

I placed two orders to Amazon on the afternoon of Dec. 23.  They were here today around noon.  (Dec. 24)    I did not request any special delivery as it wasn't urgent that I get them by Christmas.

That's the kind of experience I have with Amazon all the time.  I don't even have Prime, but everything gets to me quickly
