You know I'm beginning to think the hosts actually believe their sales pitch

No they don't. They act just like QVC tells them to.

I wonder if they ever think "who buys this stuff"??

@matty liz   if you say something enough times and hear something glorified in training sessions and by vendors, I'm sure you do start to believe it.  It's called brainwashing.

While I believe they have to believe and support much of what they purport, what I believe is not important.😁 It is what the CUSTOMER believes that is.🥰 They use whatever pitch/tactic they believe will be most successful in convincing the consumer to buy.👍

@kaydee50

Apparently they do!

There is a video on youtube of when Mike Rowe (yes that Mike Rowe!) worked at QVC and one day he must've been fed up and during his show he just said, I can't do this

**** anymore and walked off stage.

That is what I was implying.  Guess I didn"t do a very good job.

With that being said, this must be a difficult job. Can you imagine talking for 3-4 hours trying to sell some of this stuff. The other day Courtney was doing a presentation for a whole hour on the hairmax laser comb, the rep was with her but still. Another time Vanessa was doing a whole hour presentation on a foot massager.
I can’t imagine getting up every morning and do that job.

I think they are like robots going through the motions and saying their pitches. I'm sure there has to be stuff they sell that they would not buy themselves but know they have to sell it if they want to keep their jobs. They also get many products they sell sent to them by the vendors so they can speak to how wonderful the stuff is. There's no way they can buy everything they sell when they say they have this or that at home or have used it.
