Disappointed my order is delayed.  The host didn't mention the backorder status when presenting the item.  Anyone ever get an advance order and did it ship on the estimated date?

@snoop - yes. I ordered a piece of jewelry on advance order several months ago and it shipped close to the estimated ship date.

The host may not have known yet. Often the producer gets the information to the hosts beforehand based on the number of people on the phones, but not always. If you place your order just as it sells out, they can't always get that information to you before it happens.

In this case I think they just didn't bother telling customers that the item would be delayed in shipment.  I know I ordered when they still had others available but it was sneaky not to mention the delay.  Later on, some customers were waitlisted but that is a bit different.  It's very disappointing.

I've had a number of back orders that shipped as scheduled or earlier.

I've done quite a few Advanced Orders- usually jewelery.  They have always shipped exactly as promised, often 2-3 days before the promised ship date.

The problem with Advance Orders is that sometimes I am usually no longer interested.  I am sure QVC loses sales with Advance Orders.

I've had this happen a couple times.   In fact I just got an order I placed in Jan.   I did get a couple notifications telling me they were still trying to obtain additional inventory.  LOL, I got one the same day as I got the order.

My order doesn't even give an est. ship date...  i am new to QVC and was having a hard enough time with how long a regular order takes to arrive and the addtitional shipping cost.  So if i ever do get my 2 items --- it maybe be my last  Smiley Sad
