May agree with CIJ a let down but it is Christmas not xmas

@matty liz  When I was little, I refused to go into any store that had Xmas written in the window.  Many arguments with my mother.  I believed they were taking the Christ out of Christmas.  I still don't like it.

Yet ANOTHER weekend of xmass junk on the air....well at least I won't waste so much time watching or checking the Q this weekend.  I am one of those who only likes Xmass in December...not in the heat of summer!!

@bargainsgirl Do you realize that spelling Christmas with the "x" is very offensive to a lot of people?  I trust you didn't understand that and didn't mean to offend folks!  Stay cool and hope you find something you like to watch.  Or turn up the air conditioner and take a nap!Woman Wink

@Biftu I am not a fan of Happy Holidays being a substitute for Merry Christmas.

I enjoy Christmas in July and don't mind that it starts at the end of June. It seems there are less shows this year. I thought it odd they didn't do CIJ on July 25 and did it on July 26 instead. Couldn't they have moved gem day to the 26th?

What absolutely amazes me is that the Q allows such unkind and tacky remarks about CIJ. I haven't watched this year but there is no way I would come on here and put down something that has been ongoing for decades.

By the way, I have a ton of Valerie Parr Hill items in my home and there is no way anyone would call my home anything but elegant and quality. Really tired of people putting her down. Smiley Mad

@Sakuya   I thought QVC messed up scheduling on this too.

I saw so many taglines on July 25 -- "Exactly Six Months Till Christmas!" Other retailers that count on Christmas sales were on top of it.  Also some of the TV streaming movie channels.

Yet QVC has a boring gem TSV on the 25th.  Just cannot figure them out anymore.

🌲  The greeting "Happy Holidays" was specifically intended to include all people and faiths who celebrate religious holidays and practices during the same season as Christians celebrate the birth of Christ.

I believe that is a very special kindness and a true extension of peace and good will to all.

Then don't watch. It's apparently a huge money maker for them, which means a lot of people disagree with you. There are so many things I don't like and so I don't watch. I don't feel the need to announce it.

Never heard "x" to be offensive but I am not surprised.  So many get so offended easily these days. I did not intend to offend or bash anyone.  Just expressing my OPINION about Christmas in July and December.
