Interesting.... It would make some sense....

Ty,would it be better for you, if this happened? It seems to me that with most businesses going global, QVC should include Canada and Mexico in their delivery area.
With Amazon, I often get deliveries from Asia and the UK. And delivery doesn't cost me any more, and often.....I get these overseas deliveries faster than the ones that come from QVC.

I would think that the customer service would improve if the company were sold, it couldn't be worse as it stands today. Hard to say if shipping fees would go down though as Canada Post is pretty expensive.
TSC also only ships within Canada and has never shipped to the U.S. And of course since QVC quit shipping to Canada at the end of 2012, there certainly have been items that I would like that it's a hassle to buy and have it shipped to a relative in the U.S.
HSN and Evine have never shipped to Canada either. It's hard to say if Canada will then get easier access to merchandise from other parts of the world.
Even Amazon.ca is an overpriced wannabe of the U.S. Amazon. I won't buy anything from the Amazon.ca unless it's just as cheap as Amazon. A lot of Amazon 2nd party sellers also don't ship to Canada either.
Canada is in a recession right now even though the news media and financial analysts play it down. All you have to do is go to any local mall to see all the empty storefronts. Any new owner of TSC, if they are from the U.S. will have their work cut out for them. If they come in with an arrogant attitude like Target's management, they will fail just like Target Canada did.

Ty, I'm actually surprised to hear that some of these major etailers don't include Canada in their service areas.
We lived in Europe about 23 years ago...and I found the prices on clothing and shoes to be so high there....I checked with several US companies that had catalog businesses (no internet back then) and it was cheaper for me to order through their 800 numbers and have the merchandise shipped via FedEx to Europe..than for me to shop locally.
I just assumed this would be so seamless today, with internet ordering.
