Not that I have ever really complained about them but do wish they would do a shipping on your whole order but I digress!

I buy from Ballard Design often.  They recently have changed up their shipping to "balance" out charges across the board, or so they say.  Remember, they are part of the QVC family.  I was going to place a rather significant order today.   Some of their items have " pre Black Friday" pricing.  No free shipping.  Shipping for my order was going to be around $93.  Ordering one duvet and 6 shams.  Nothing that really weighs a lot.

Sounds almost like a furniture delivery charge!

I think sometimes it has to do with the size of the box. Shoes are more than most pieces of clothing, bigger and heavier.

All I can think of is …They must want to go OUT OF BUSINESS !! 😂



I entered my zip code for the estimated shipping charges for 1 duvet and 6 shams that I added to my cart and the total was $63.28 !! 😳


I must live a little closer to them than you, huh! 😂

@RescueLover  I am in FL.  Not like Alaska or Hawaii . In fact I think some items it said they would not ship to those areas.  This is the 1st time in over 15 years that they have charged that kind of amount for shipping.  I realize prices have gone up but wowzer!  It is not meant to be right now....

Shipping costs turn me away. I can always find what I want elsewhere for free shipping and usually free returns (and almost always for a lower price).

@Seminole2   yiu had me curious about Ballard.  Never shopped there.    They track you and don't let you choose what cookies they can use which I hate avd here is their shipping charge policy

Shipping and processing charges for standard delivery are based on the total value of your parcel-eligible items per delivery address.

Orders up to $24.99: $6.95
Orders $25 to $49.99: $9.9

Orders $50 to $99.99: $16.95

Orders $100 to $199.99: $24.9

Orders $200 to $349.99: $39.95

Orders over $350: 12% of the total cost of parcel items

@Teddixat  yes that has received changed.  They are not an "inexpensive" store.  I get that but we aren't shipping furniture.  It's simple bedding.  So I ended up buying my new bed cover from Linens and Hutch.  They always have a sale if you use the code Today43.Their products are well made.  Free shipping.  But they don't sell individual pieces.  Will end up at Ballard for the shams but will wait
