Why no Holiday Programming this year?

Doesn't QVC normally have "holiday programming" on Christmas vs. previously recorded shows?

I can't remember last year but years past have been so enjoyable.  I always enjoyed the cooking segments.

Remember the good old days when they'd have cute segments like hosts making cookies with their kids? One year we were all sick & couldn't go anywhere, so we watched qvc off & on. They had such fun segments & absolutely no selling.

@homedecor1   Yes, I always enjoyed the alternative programming QVC had for the ONE DAY of the year that they didn't engage in "selling,"  Christmas Day.

However, for whatever reason ($$$$$) maybe the new management decided to abolish that "gesture" and go to a full selling day (admittedly prerecorded).

The programming they had in past years not only didn't generate revenue but incurred production costs that they had to absorb.

I didn't watch it at all and wonder how their approach worked out for them revenue-wise.

So much for the concept of ONE DAY of the year exempt from selling.  I'm not judging, merely commenting.

@Love my grandkids

@bobby5

Thats great @Love my grandkids but many do just because as @bobby5 noted they used to have wonderful segments of baking w/hosts, etc.

I always tuned in to check after Christmas in the evenings --

Of course, I miss those "good ole days"...I'm sure the demographic age they want to reach the PTB feel showing clothing would be a seller.  (Even HSN had terrible programming). I don't think they are sitting buying at Q on Christmas,jmo.

But thinking QVC one day I'll tune in and they'll be a black screen -- gone & considering the shipping fees skyrocketing & nightmares,  the warehouse tragic fire, including a death - many will shop elsewhere (including me nothing new or unique I can't buy elsewhere)

I wss thinking about this earlier. Shows past holidays were some of the best.  Yes, Mally, The Blue Jean Chef, Mary taking about wines...and so on.
