What was the reason Judy C. left QVC? She's an exceptionally articulate guest and her jewelry is quite lovely. Did she leave her hosting gig by choice?

It's been so long ago but it seems like she was getting married to her current husband Paul Deasy and she was moving to Florida.

@50Mickey. That's what I remember too.  I think her departure was voluntary.

I remember it was because she was marrying again.

My dear sister and I used to look forward to her Kirk's Folly presentations/shows. She'd be dressed up in tutus, crowns and that saber with jewels and stars hanging from them.

We purchased an item and when we received it, it was a piece of junk. We took it apart and decorated two collars for our precious pups.

I can still picture Judy with her crowns and tiaras.

@50Mickey That's what I remember. Paul worked at QVC for a while where they met.

@MarnieRez3   I have no idea why she left but I wish she would come back. I miss hosts like her.

I think, Judy left the day or 2 before  she and Jeff Hewson were  married and then went thru an extremely awful divorce or annulment . They weren't married very long. Jeff Hewson was an incredibly handsome guy, and he knew it,  and was a host, but apparantly he was pretty much a monster in real life. Kathy Levine was involved too--she was friends with both,  but sided with Judy after this whole thing blew up. Not sure if I am telling things right but if you read Kathy's first book, she kind of goes into it. It was awhile after all this settled down when she married Paul, but she never came back to QVC.

She married QVC host, Jeff Hewson.  Their wedding was the talk of the station, until it went south only after a short time and they divorced.

Her first husband left QVC after the divorce,but she stayed.

 Then she was with another host, Paul Deasey.  I know he was married with small children, but I don't know when he divorced his wife....before or after first dating Judy. ( lots of talk about those two)

I think she and Paul left to start a jewelry business on their own.  Paul was educated in gems and Judy could sell.  They made a great team.

They have been flip flopping all over the shopping channel networks since then.

I remember when Judy and Paul were both on; they were both really wonderful, and yes, I also wish Judy would return, but I think she and Paul are pretty much retired now.

I actually met Judy when my husband and I were visiting West Chester, his home town. We were having lunch in a nice place when Judy came in to join some friends for lunch. We talked to her just as she was leaving for a shift on QVC. She was lovely in every way.

They left and were on HSN for a few years, selling jewelry. I really enjoyed their presentations because they were informative (Paul became a certified gemologist) and they had nice chemistry together. 

It was the era of Judy, Paul, Mary Beth, Jill, and of course, the star of hosts, Kathy Levine!

@wagirl  - What made this Jeff Hewson a "monster" in real life?  Why did they end up getting a divorce so quickly?  

I didn't watch the Q back during this era.
