 I order online and very much limit my viewing time since I can't stand all the goofy circus antics of various Hosts , however I did not know the Hosts get " points  " on any sales online or call in while they are on TV  as another poster mentioned in one of these  blogs.

So, even though I don't care for   most Hosts they must have derived points from my online orders .... bummer since I do not support Hosts acting so unprofessional

@skatting44

I remember watching the Apprentice participating on QVC...they said then that sales ONLY COUNT for the host/vendor if ordered during their show.

So ordering online during the show would give the host credit for sales.

Ordering another time, they would not.

It has been posted here by many WEN ladies to try to ONLY order while Chaz is on air.

Otherwise, he doesn't get credit for the sale.

Still dont know why they have so many NEWER hosts when they are firing the ones they already have that have made a LOT of money for QVC over they years.

@misschristy    QVC management sees the sales figures and can best judge what formula generates the most activity.  The responsibility to stockholders is on them so don't spend your time worrying about it.

Kachina624 is correct! Multiple host are NOT going to change. Dont like it?

Don't watch!

Hello @pupwhipped .  Just curious - who is the one host that can give JT a run for her money?  Smiley Happy

@San Antonio Gal

I am kinda wondering myself!   LOL

I can't think of a single one except Rick, although Sandra would give a good try, but lose in the end.....

Re: Why? Still having multiple hosts on shows…

@Bhvbum

Contract employees can be terminated at ANY time..it's probably in thier contract!!!

They agree to terms BEFORE they step in front of that camera for one second.

What company would tell someone, in a contract, "we'll keep you on even if we're going belly up...we'll keep paying you until your contract date comes up...."

You can bet they have sales targets too if they ARE contracted employees.

Also....the terms of thier contract spell out what if any benefits must be provided IF a contract is ended before its term is up....like unused sick time, vacation ( if offered) etc. May even include a lump sum payout.

So....QVC can say...YES you have a contract, and here's we will offer you to leave, not sue us, and end the contract now. When you sign for these terms, that's it. You can NOT come back and sue us".

If they agree and sign, fine.

If not, they serve out thier time WITHOUT any addtional perks they could have been offered to leave ahead of the contract expiration.

And feel stupid when the inevetible layoff occurs. "Gee we coulda had a severance!!"

I bet they got generous severance to break existing contracts.

If they ARE QVC employees and not contracted, well, then QVC holds the cards.

They offer a severance and benefits to leave, the host accepts or declines...they're going anyway.

Layoffs imminent...take the package and leave, or stay and get just a regular old goodbye.

PA is an "At will" state. They can let you go for ANY reason at any time.

Better to take a package if offered, instead of just a figurative "See ya!!"

These people were NOT working down at the 7-11 for a little more than minimum wage.
