Re: Why QVC is located in Pa.

@DAD: I don't agree. QVC has been on the air for over 30 years. I don't think any of us (viewers) were present at those planning meetings all those years ago. Smiley Tongue

Someone mentioned it yesterday. That's the only reason I looked it up. Whatever 10 or more days is a long time to process.

@DAD And the person who mentioned it yesterday didn't know what SHE was talking about either, same as you.

You should get actual facts before you post.

Just a little Q trivia, but did any of you know that many years ago when QVC was just starting out and breaking ground for home shopping, Sears & Roebuck was looking into purchasing them. It never happened. My dad who worked in an office of Sears shared this fun fact with me.

Joseph Segel was from the Philadelphia area.  Prior to QVC, he founded The Franklin Mint in Delaware County, PA.  Remember them - they sold collectibles, often through ads in the Sunday paper.

@Lattelvr.  I remember in the early days of TV shopping, JC Penney had a shopping channel.  I believe it was bought by NBC and evolved into ShopNBC.
