According to Kathy Levine's book , Joel Siegel the founder , built QVC in Pennsylvania to give his home state more jobs.

Re: Why QVC is located in Pa.

Making a purchase from QVC is not the same as signing a written contract.  If QVC gave you 3 days to cancel your order, it would take even longer for them to be able to send the orders out.  Is that what you want?

Re: Why QVC is located in Pa.

The law that allows for the cancellation of contracts within 3 days is a Federal law so would supersede Pennsylvania law.  It was, however, enacted to counteract door-to-door sales where high pressure was applied for thing like vacuum cleaner sales.  It may not apply to sales of the type QVC does.

I used to work for a company that Joseph Segel had started. It is located right outside the Philadelphia area. And Joseph Segel was living in the Philadelphia area at the time.

Nancy Drew 1 ..... You are correct. QVC was started in 1986 by Joseph Segel who was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He stated then he wanted to help the area and bring more jobs to the community. He retired in 1993.

Regretfully, since his retirement  things have changed. His vision for QVC is not what it has become today.
