Why Lie?

last nite I saw a brief part of a presentation of Liz Claiborne's clothes on QVC - just in time to hear the host say once again "you cannot get Liz Claiborne" anywhere else - the implication was very clear - and once again, a lie. You cannot tell me that the hosts have not seen the JCPenney commercials that are inundating the air waves with the LC clothing. The other day at our local Penneys the LC clothing was nearly 50 percent or more off, and then no shipping and handling. You can buy LC elsewhere.

I was taught that marketing is about promoting yourself, not making yourself look good by putting others down. If QVC thinks the prices and shipping and handling is so darn good why pretend or lie?
