It's 98° right now...hardly conducive to Christmas shopping...

@Drewps5co0tt  I look forward to CIJ, and I don't care if they start it a little early.

I truly enjoy watching many of the Christmas in July shows.  I might not buy anything ... but I always find new ways to arrange the pieces that I do have.

I am interested to see the selection of hosts for the decor shows now that some of the more-familiar-to-me hosts are gone ....

I'm ready for it.  I'll be coming out of my summer hibernation to watch.

@Kachina624 - me too. It feels like we just finished Christmas and here we go again.  Christmas is a one day holiday for me.  I am just not interested in a 6 month run up to a 24 hour holiday.  And buying all the "stuff". The decorations.  It just seems like such excess to me though I know I am in the minority on that.

I am not a Scrooge. I love giving gifts to my family and a few friends, but have cut back on that. But I am just not into buying tons of stuff to put in my house.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

It doesn't do anything one way or the other for me.  I ignore it all together!  We have Christmas as a low-key religious event now--party and gathering days are over for us.

To everything there is a time and a season.
