I was expecting a package Friday,  from an online organic shopping company.food non perishable items, home all day. I had dealt with company  before always received the packages and they were always sent Fed Ex,thought they had improved from the past with sending a picture of box at front door, This time got email,  a picture of delivery  saying your package was delivered it's not my front door , probably in my development. Was hoping someone would had placed it in front of my home last night, seeing the mistake.

I did call Fed Ex right after email they  said they would get in touch with driver, has anyone dealt with Fed Ex and what was the outcome, Thanks

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

I had a problem once with FedEx and they even called me back to confirm what they had and where it should be delivered...and it was the next day.

A lot depends on the origin of your order. If it's the NE, it's hung up in snow. If it's the SE, it's hung up in floods and hurricane damage. If it's out west, it's hung up in droughts and forest fires.

Hopefully, you'll get it soon.

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

Same here!  Checked online to see if delivered and yes it was but not at me house.  Fed exp site had a proof of delivery which certainly was not a package of my front door or even at the low gate.  I compared the POD picture to a neighbor door steps house and there it was.  Funny how fed exp showed POD picture of the pkg but the fed exp person couldn't bother to even check the neighbors street number so what is the point of POD?  I do realize being a delivery person can be a stressful job so I take that into consideration but still.

[ Edited ]

Interestingly enough, the same thing just happened to me last night.  I had 2 boxes coming from Anthropologie.  I checked my email and they said delivered.  Checked the tracking and the picture is not my house.  I live in a large neighborhood in NYC with many homes that look similar to my 3 family brownstone, so they could be anywhere.

Also ironic is that I ordered the same items last week and got the boxes, but they were the wrong items.  I guess my nephew's wife is not meant to have these gifts because I'm not doing this again, 😁

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

One time FedEx delivered an important over-night package with documents I urgently needed that day to a car dealership in my town.  Have no idea how the driver could have mistaken a lawyers office for a car dealership.   I called FedEx and was told they would have the driver pick up the package and redeliver it.    I waited as long as I could before calling FedEx again.  I was told the driver wouldn't be a the dealership until the next day to pick up the package.  I ended up going to the dealership myself to get the package.

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

Last Christmas I had ordered a gift for my tenants from an online vendor.  They always use FedEx.   I tracked the package and it said the package was delivered.   In March my tenant called me to let me know a woman dropped off the package I thought had been delivered in time for Christmas.  So not only  did FedEx miss deliver the package but the person who received it held on to it until March. I felt so bad because my tenants most have thought I had not done anything for them for Christmas.

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

@Mimi NY    I had the same thing happen with a delivery from Wal-Mart last week.  Not my front door.  I got a refund.   I hold my breath every time I know FedEx is delivering something because they generally screw it up.

Re: Where is my Fed Ex package

Warning...long post.

@Mimi NY

It's temporary employees hiring season.  Hiring for UPS is a 25 minute online questionnaire.  Yes, those helping deliver packages are hired within 25 minutes, sight unseen, very little background check.

See this on UPS website.

I imagine it's the same for FedEx.

Last year around this time, I experienced the same as you twice...at the cost of $200 to Walmart who uses FedEx.  Yes, they refunded my money right away.  Walmart CS told me it was becoming very common.  All the signs looked like theft.

First, why would anyone take pictures to prove items were left at the door when they are not in the picture?  Then, left at wrong houses.

Not sure about FedEx, but there are two in the UPS truck during Christmas season.  An UPS full time employee drives, the other delivering is the temporary, so it would be difficult to steal anything in front of the UPS employee.

Who knows what kind of people they are hiring sight unseen and in 25 minutes online.

One time I opened the door and saw someone who looked like a motorcyclist belonging to a 1% (Hells Angels) motorcycle club wearing motorcycle boots and long beard...an UPS truck sitting in the street.  Oh, wearing Bermuda shorts in the middle of December hairy legs and all.  HA!  He really was a bit scary.
