Where do you get a break on prices at QVC?

I'm looking at a lunchtime special for 12.95 and with 3.00 shipping and handling it's up to 15.00 which you can get on easy pay.  But that's the regular price of the item.  Where is the savings?  Are there any lowered prices on QVC items?  Have you found any recently?

I believe QVC doesn't really get the concept of reducing prices significantly/putting items on sale.  Their idea of a sale seems to be extra easy pays.

You need to search "last clicks".  I have gotten some really good deals that way.  Search the vendor and then last clicks, like "Susan Graver last clicks".  Of course the sizing and colors are limited, but you may get lucky.  I recently got two tops for $15 each that way -- that is the price I would expect to pay at a big box store, but the quality is so much better with her clothes than big box retail.  Last clicks are usually lower than the lunchtime specials I think.  Good luck.

Re: Where do you get a break on prices at QVC?

It's all over the board.

I ordered a Paula's Choice item from QVC the other day because the featured price is less than on Paula's site and both sites charge shipping unless I wanted to order more things from Paula's site and I didn't need more items.

When QVC brings in a new item, there's often a break if you do comparison shopping. They have a new Bare Minerals product that's cheaper here than my local Sephora store, even with shipping. Once it goes up to the regular price, then it will be cheaper to buy locally.

During Christmas, I picked up a Bose bluetooth speaker that they had on sale for $99.99 while everyone else still had it for $129.

I got a Dyson vacuum cleaner on clearance here after checking Target and seeing it was nearly $100 more there.

The TSVs can be tricky. I get the most bang for my buck on beauty items, because they usually have the same price whether you buy it at QVC, Nordstorm, or Sephora. Sometimes they will go on sale, but the TSV kits from Josie Maran, Tarte, IT Cosmetics, WEN, and more are usually the best values around and it's easy to comparison shop on those. Even during their best sales, those other stores can't match the QVC value on most beauty TSVs, especially when you can get something in auto-delivery and lock the price in.

The QVC outlets!  The items there are already reduced from the on-air price and then they often run specials from anywhere between an additional 40 - 70 percent off.  Sometimes they have sales such as "all pants $5," or "all Dooney's $99."  The sales and selections are hit or miss but I have gotten some great deals over the years.  It is also helpful to be able to try things on for size and see if something will work, even if what they have in the outlet is not the color I would want.  So, in addition to the great deals, the outlet also lets you see a lot of the merchandise and decide if you want to order it in your size/color preference.

The downside is there are not many outlets.  I think the most similar thing online are the "last clicks" or "as is" merchandise, but even they are not as good as the outlet deals when they are having a good sale.

There are only three QVC outlet stores and the QVC Outlet Stores page doesn't even say where they are located, so I'm guessing they reach a very, VERY limited audience.

http://www.qvc.com/StoresOutlet.content.html

And when I checked other outlet store directories, they only list ONE QVC outlet in Lancaster, PA. If there's only one, that's pretty exclusive. Great if you live in the area, but most people are nowhere close.

Yes, they are very limited!  Only Frazer, PA, Lancaster, PA, and Rehobeth, DE.  I think they used to have more, but have closed some.

They used to have one in Ft. Myers, FL, but it closed years ago.  I only got to shop there a handful of times.  I remember seeing a lot of Quaker Factory there.
