You would think that someone who worked with a major online retailer would be the person most suited for the job.
Working at Disney theme parks and Disney digital venues and retailing, while impressive, doesn't seem to be the background to solve shipping and inventory issues. Unless she wants to focus on the Entertainment! aspect of the business.
Disney's forte really isn't online vending.

exactly correct,
I guess the Disney name has some cachet, but OTH they hired the Walmart person and she couldn't do it either, all we got was "social media " host

Does not bode well for much of this new batch.
As an NFL fan the situation reminds me of the General Managers and the salary cap (keeping the cheaper rookies and waiving the expensive veteran players). With the experiment with the new programming schedule the newer batch of host salaries are cheaper then the tenured hosts' salaries, who no doubt got raises over time.....those are the ones I think it doesnt bode well for......except for DV whose a selling machine....

Thank you and lol.
Why would QVC hire new people knowing (and they had to know) they were doing away with overnight programming. How disruptive to these poor kids and their families
Because a new Executive came on board after these hosts were already hired, the previous thinking was based on QVC operating 3 channels....

Here's the new Execs mission
An odd hiring for sure....look what happened to JCP when they hired an Executive from Apple to be their CEO....technology & electronics are a whole different ball game from retail....and even though JCP got rid of him, they still haven't recovered .......
I had great hopes for HSN when they hired Mindy Grossman from Nordstorms thought she might bring in some good ideas, good customer service....but that failed as well....As did QVC's hiring of Claire Watts former Walmart Exec...... I think the fault is with the clueless Execs on what their customers needs and wants are and their clueless buyers ......who seem to buy the same stuff year after year after year...or merchandise that customers see everywhere.....no creativity or innovation....
