Is it not possible for Mary just to say David is off today without including "well deserved" every single time? Apparently not. It has been 10 times in the first 95 minutes. David just had 2 full weeks off a month ago. I'm sure he works hard but the constant "well deserved" is a bit much.

It's part of the QVC script and the voices in her ear.

They keep repeating it like they are trying to convince us it is well deserved. I for one could not possibly care less.

It's because usually the FB posters that are obsessed with David turn VERY angry (not all, but some of them) that David is not in his show. Some of them get downright nasty, and then some other posters turn on them, and it's just crazy. I've seen amazing things there when David is away. His Christmas vacation produced whoppers!
Some today have come to say "it's rare when David is on his own show!" An exaggeration??? Yet that's how it gets there.
Mary is trying to quell that nastiness by repeating that phrase. Hopefully, people who can care that much for David, will be happy that he has "a well deserved day off."

If indeed it is the producer or director telling Mary what to say about David, they should stop. It makes Mary look like she loves promoting David to enchance her own status at the Q. At least, that's the way I see and hear it, without knowing how the Q operates. I rarely watch the show anyway because I'm sick of David and not crazy about Mary.

wow.

all this strikes me as hauntingly stalklike.
why else would someone one keep up with a sales persons schedule and judge it?
just so strange to me.
of course this is my opinion. perhaps i am just odd.

There is another thread on this matter and I commented on that, but I will say I am not missing David at all. He does seem to be off quite a lot. I really like Mary, so at least today I can even listen to the show. I'm tired of the happy dance and the childishness that goes on when he is there.

There is a different vibe with Mary. Even the vendors seem to enjoy their time more. David’s schtick is wearing thin. Her enthusiasm seems genuine, and more relaxed.
