Re: What will I do without QVC?

I hate to clothes-shop in bricks-and-mortar stores anymore either.  They don't have a good selection, never have my size, etc.  But, on a positive note, returns are easier with bricks-and-mortar.

Re: What will I do without QVC?

I live near a small rural NC town. We have Belks, TJMax, Walmart, Target, Ross....

The last time I returned a mail order item to Belks, I decided to shop in the store.  It was during the week. They had one ladies dressing room open with 2-3 people ahead of me. Maybe 1-2 cashier stations open.  My knees were killing me so I just hung up the clothes on the dressing room rack and left.  I guess if I want something from them, I'll purchase online and return to store if it doesn't work out.

One service that QVC definitely provides:  It gives one the idea of what to look for elsewhere for a better price.  I wouldn't be shopping some of those other stores if I hadn't first seen the item on QVC.

I buy clothing, shoes,j ewelry, household products, etc. MAINLY from brick and mortar stores. If I do buy things on line, I buy from places where shipping is free,  and where I find BETTER QUALITY items and LOWER prices than what QVC offers.

Count me in as disagreeing. It's a very rare thing to see Q beat other retailer's prices. The same or nearly identical products are sold everywhere for less money and free shipping/returns most of the time.

Re: What will I do without QVC?

I find awesome deals at Marshalls, TJ Max, Ross.    I never purchase anything in the apparel arena from QVC unless it is at the outlet store.  The prices on QVC are insanely high.  I can't figure out who would make those purchases because your money can go so much higher at one of the stores I listed.  Also, you could try the garment on and make a sound decision on size etc. before making a purchase.  I can't stand returning things by mail and having to monitor if the package arrived and if I indeed was credited for the return.

Am I missing something?  Has QVC announced it's going out of business?
