Love the skirt, but the shirt doesn't look good with it at all.  One shirt isn't going to be appropriate for absolutely everything in your closet.  Not sure why they would try to convince people otherwise.

It's funny, I feel like the TSV clothing items are often a no-win situation. She tried (too hard) to style a shirt and people complain. Other times a host doesn't wear a TSV during a TSV presentation and people complain. I like your answer, though. One shirt isn't going to be appropriate for every look AND it's not going to be loved by every person. Sometimes it feels like they're just trying too hard.

At least they got it with the GILI line, where everything is so fitted and will NOT look good on every body. Notice that all of the GILI TSVs have been handbags. I'm an apple shape and can use any handbag I want, but there's no way a GILI dress or skirt is going to work for me and they don't even try to pretend it will.

The style of skirt that Courtney is wearing is everywhere. It seems you cNt go to any fashion site and not see someone's version of it.

Some I like, some I don't. I tried one on at Nordies that I liked a lot, the price not so much; doubt I'd wear it enough to justify the $$.

I think Courtney's skirt is cute. The blue shirt looks a bit off, at least to me.

As for Joan, she would have been old enough to be Courtney's Grandmother. I doubt they'd have the same fashion sense!

I have to say that Courtney is coming into her own, and I think she's improved tremendously.  I think that at her age she's going for the "anything goes"  kind of mismatching that seems to be the style now...  while "we" may not get it (and I don't) a lot of the under 30's will.  As for it going with the TSV... well, no, at least I don't think so.  I've not been a big fan but feel she has improved enough that I don't mind watching for awhile.  She still needs to work on losing her Valley Girl intonations.

Nothing wrong with the skirt or the top but the two together is a big fail. You can dress the top up some but not with that skirt. Oy.
