Several years ago, I purchased an Oreck vacuum. When it started quitting for me, I took it to my local "vacuum fixer upper". He looked at the machine and told me that that the Q makes deals with manufacturers and the Q gets items that are lesser quality or old ones. He showed me on my vacuum -- the item numbers included a Q -- and yes -- it had been a TSV. He also showed me that my vacuum had plastic parts and not metal parts like the "real" Oreck vacuums!! Man certainly opened my eyes!

I guess we shouldn't be surprised. I think we all knew certain items were specifically 'made for Q' but perhaps some of us weren't aware of the true extent to which they do this... I've never been very likely to buy appliances or electronics from QVC, tough I've bought a few over the years. At this point, they can push them and push them and push them, which they clearly do, but I won't be buying any more. I probably wouldn't have anyway, as these are things I prefer to buy locally, but in light of this little tidbit, forget it, Q.

QVC, HSN and Shop HQ offer flex pays that are great for customers who don't want to get hit with apayment all at once, and they are interest free. This is what gives them a great advantage over competing with other retails outlets.
Easy pays are not really interest free. You pay interest on your credit card.

I do my easy pays on my debit, right out of checking and no interest.
