I think it’s a shame to see how much food QVC waste on their cooking shows. I’m sure that there are some homeless people nearby that would love to have it. And please don’t tell me that the crew eats it. If the food is so good that it make a grown man do a stupid and childless happy dance, then share it with others that have less. Maybe they will have something to dance about also. Just something to think about QVC it can’t hurt.{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

The food helps them sell. Most of it sits around all day and is not fit to eat. Those items that are gets eaten by the crew. I know it seems like a waste, and perhaps it is, but you do not have to support it.

Years ago I thought they said they gave the food away, but now are prohibited by law from doing that. I'm sure the crew eats some, but a lot of it is not refrigerated for hours so I'm sure that is tossed.

Remember for presentation purposes (Not the sample food but the display food) the food is just cooked enough to show the outside as done when in fact the inside is still totally raw.

I recall Bob Bowersox getting food poisoning from some food he ate on the show...not sure what it was but he was out for a long while...

I sure wouldn't trust any of the food sitting out under those hot lights.....unless I seen them making it right on the spot....

It's been sitting under the hot studio lights and that means that it's in the danger zone of 40-140 degrees. Any food in that temperature range over time develops bacteria and that's what makes you sick. Giving that type of food away would be terrible for those who have to eat it. As far as the homeless go, this time of year can be tough so I can see why you are justifiably concerned. Just a suggestion, I usually give money or food to a local food charity; that way you know that you will be helping those less fortunate in your area. It doesn't solve all the problems in the world, but every little bit helps in the grand scheme of things.
