I've been an 18 yr member of QVC and I just want to know what happened to the QVC that so many of us once loved ? What happened to all the quilt rack shows...the 24 hr collector days....where they featured all sorts of collectibles...what happened to the beautiful REAL (not plastic or silk) euchalyptus wreath that Valerie Parr Hill used to bring from her decorating with wreath shows. What happened to the affordable jewelery? What happened to all of the amish furniture they used to sell ( I purchased a beautiful amish quilt rack many year ago). What happened to Boyds Bears....Annette Funicello and such ? What happened to the great 50/50 tours they had...they were such fun to watch. What happened to the real home, folksy feeling that QVC had when the show hosts were more mellow and laid back ? Now all I see is expensive designer jewelery that a lot of us can't afford....tons of makeup...too many so called top designers that you can't even keep up with all their stuff. I realize the QVC has to sell a variety of items...they always have. But instead of show hosts dancing around and being too hyper and talking too much and over the guests ...begging for free merchandise on air....there has got to be some of us who miss the old QVC that brought fun to the channel without being so annoying that you have to change the channel ...put it on mute....or getting depressed that you can';t affored half the designers that they put on there now. I miss dozens of shows that they have taken away. I realize that everything changes and nothing stays the same...I'm not a fan of change. What happened to the QVC that used to draw me in so many years ago ? I miss it so...it makes me sad. I am homebound and I did a lot of my shopping from them for many years. In the 18 yrs they have changed so much and unfortunately not for the better. :-(
