@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes - Interesting! I remember reading that In QVC's ads for host applicants they stress "storytelling."

I don't get to watch as much as some here, but IMO Shawn does a great job at this. She lets us in her personal family life some, but not to excess. She "plays" with us with her sometimes outrageous comments. And she is great, especially with Isaac, at making up stories about fictional characters, like sitting by the Riviera sipping champagne and wearing what she is selling!

She doesn't talk about the same things ad nauseam.

Whether we love her style or not, she keeps us interested!  Smiley Wink

That's why she's so phenomenally successful in the eyes of QVC Group management.

She takes the "story teller" mandate to heart and runs away with it!

Does anyone else get annoyed tho when all the hosts probably make up stories to relate to the products? So many of them have this "life experience" with the product and I just feel so many of their stories are just lies.

Ali Carr seems to always have a personal life changing experience with so many of the QVC products. Many other hosts do this and it just drives me BONKERS. I am sure there are many of you who can relate and know other hosts that do so.

If I use even a little too much product, my hair looks awful, greasy, stringy.

Some people use gel or other products to get the wet look. I don't like it on me but I'm not going to tell other people how to do their hair.

If she's truly not being clean, then it's up to her bosses to address it.

My guess is they won't say much as long as she sells a lot.

@Teddixat   LOL, you asked why people care about it and I tried to explain to you why people comment and care. There is a forum of 5,000+ comments about it from viewers who decided to make a forum dedicated to Shawn and her hygiene. Please don't ask a ? if you don't want a reply, as you are stating here.

Lastly, what do you mean we don't know about her hygiene? She tells us publicly about it!! Please try not to be so closeminded if you are going to ask a forum for help on an answer. I tried to explain to you why and you obviously had NO intention of even listening. We are wasting space on this thread continuing to even converse with each other about it, so its best that we just drop it and move along, please!

With Shawn, you never know if she's telling the truth. She loves attention and will say anything to get it, even if untrue.

You dont need to buy any special powder.  My hairdresser told me years ago you can use babypowder and it will do the same thing.

No, it isn’t the same as baby powder. It is a special texturizer that adds grit and structure at the roots for lift.
