Last weekend Terry Dubrow was on with his Consult Beaute line and I watched a bit as I use some of his products.  He was selling the protein shake and I was tempted to get it to use as an occasional breakfast option, eggs get boring after a while.  I put it in my cart but forgot to buy it.  Then the next day, or maybe two days later, the price had gone back up so I said, oh well, I don't want it at full price.  Then the price went back down to the weekend sale price again!  Long story short the price went up and down several times over the course of this week.  So I finally got it at the sale price but I found this whole thing weird and have never seen that anywhere before and I don't understand what it means.  Why would they keep changing the price?  This is not the first time I've seen this on Evine either.

Amazon does that, too.  It's annoying!

Yes, Amazon does this ALL the time!  Frustrating!

Wow I did not know that about Amazon.  I guess I don't shop there that much since I gave up my Prime membership.

HSN does this as well.  Watch Heidi Daus jewelry pieces go from $250 down to $80 then back up to $250.

Re: Weird pricing on Evine

[ Edited ]

QVC does this as well—I check my Wish List daily and find it interesting to monitor the price changes over time. I also recently purchased an item that was a Primetime Special and two days later saw it reduced to an even lower clearance price; it is now higher in price than either of those offers, though it is still marked as a clearance item. I'm glad the Q gives price adjustments...

I see it a lot on Evine with the jewelry pricing...one day the item is regular price and the next it's on clearance.  Evine is not alone as I am starting to see this trend of price dropping and then increasing on several of the sites I ordered from. I can understand flash sales and even clearance but this "yo-yo" pricing is frustrating for the customer.

I usually stalk prices and keep up but lately I am getting tired of doing so and find that I am ordering less. I ordered an item from a shopping channel and the next day the price dropped by $50. What if I did not check the item the next day?

Q, Amazon, HSN, Macy's, WalMart, Target, and lots of retailers do this with their pricing.  It seems crazy to me but it's how they do it.
