Re: Wedding as Corporate PR Event

Wake me when it's over, please. (The wedding, that is!)

Re: Wedding as Corporate PR Event

What happened to the so-called wedding dress shopping at Kleinfeld's. If Mark is making her wedding dress (. Oh no, another Lisa Robertson lookalike) what's the point of the shopping episode? P.S. Bob Mackie made a wedding dress for one of our clients, and it was a magnificent gown in its simplicity. No spangles, beads or sequins, just one gorgeous gown. I am sure those that subscribe to the FB hoopla will be treated to countless photos of the wedding on the QVC pages.

I thought it was funny when she said she was a budget bride but then mentioned that Mark Zunino was making her dress. oh, ok. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

It is a wedding, it should be private and respectful. QVC should know better.

Mark Zunino designs dresses that are sold in Kleinfelds as does Dennis Basso. Both of them have had their dresses featured on Say Yes to the Dress and I was surprised at how affordable some of them are. I'm sure both have lower end prices as well as higher end prices.

It's my understanding Courtney purchased her dress from Kleinfelds and was being filmed for SYTTD. Not sure when the episode will air. But if Mark designed her gown, it was probably one of the gowns from Kleinfelds.

I care as much about her wedding as she cared about mine. And I think she is an annoying host.

Not interested at all. She is the most annoying host QVC has ever hired.

I didn't care for this host before the wedding announcements, and this whole promotion has made me care for her even less. I turn the channel every time she's on.

Re: Wedding as Corporate PR Event

I'm sure she didn't have much choice in the matter. They asked her and it wouldn't have been wise for her to refuse. Next time something needed doing, the powers that be would remember that she said no and didn't put herself out there.

Anyway, I'm also sure she's enjoying at least some of the extra attention.

She's on TV: loving yourself and attention seeking goes with the territory and I don't think it's a bad thing. People don't choose this job unless they need people to look at them and they think they're pretty fabulous. They fish for attention; sometimes they get a little too much but that's how it goes and they gladly accept that.

You said it, Days. Not one minute of my time has gone to her gala event. I don't watch anything of hers. She's still on over night and for good reason.
