Relax you will live longer if you dont let something so trivial upset you.  Its a common well used expression and totally harmless.

Wish I could be like you and have nothing upset me.  lol!  You're very lucky!

That's a slightly better phrase than "We're giving you...."

Or "it's basically free" as one host used to say when an easy pay was low.

I understand how small things can add up to an explosion when nothing seems normal. I bet there is plenty of that going on with people spending a lot of time together in a house. Bored kids fighting over nonsense, bored husbands roaming around, kitchens in a constant mess, remnants of food left in every room, shaggy hair...it's a wonder we aren't all posting "small" grievances here...

Relax, it's a commonly used phrase.

For example, take the sentence "After work, I am going to pick up my kids from Grandma's."

@Caligurll   That annoys me more than just about anything else a host or designer says.  I remember a designer saying we are giving you this beautiful sleeve detail.  I wanted to scream you're not giving me a dam thing, you just want me to give you my money.  And this was before the pandemic!

The only things the hosts say that bothers me is the "you can get it home for (easy pay price instead of entire price),"  because I feel that's misleading.

Aside from that, what they say doesn't really bother me. I don't watch or listen enough to be bothered by it, but when I do, I still don't really care enough to be annoyed by it.

Maybe quarantine is getting to you and it's time to change the channel. If someone on TV makes me want to scream, I stop watching.

Again, it's ALL part of the sales technique. They want the customers to feel like they will miss out on getting something because "1,000" people are on the lines. ...all the hosts do it. Another technique they all use (esp David) is painting pictures in your mind (on a cold winter night, you come home and have a soothing bowl of chili. This wine would be the perfect thing to sit down next to the crackling fire and cuddle up with a soft blanket..... " The happy dance needs to end too,  it it's ANOTHER sales technique so that people buy what he acts like is just so wonderful.
