I THINK WE ARE ALL ENTITLED TO SPEND OUR MONEY HOW WE CHOOSE.

SOME LOVE SHOPPING; OTHERS LIKE BEAUTY APPOINTMENTS.  MANY DINE OUT AND OTHERS GO ON VACATIONS.  TO EACH HIS OWN AND NO NEED TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES TO ANYONE.

How on earth can someone call someone else's purchase "reckless..."

You have absolutely no idea what their disposable income is.

This purchase may be just a small fraction of their budget.

Once again,  it seems like resentment and jealousy at play because others can readily afford this item.

Yup.  There are plenty of people making $300-$400-$500,000 in annual salary (not even factoring in bonus) in the financial services industry as an example, for whom this expense is nothing.

And yes, some of them probably do occasionally shop QVC!

As one poster said QVC is for the wealthy.

I don't see anything wrong with people spending their money how they want.  People also should not be made to feel guilty in spending money on what they want. What amazes me is the same people who criticize others about spending $500 on a hair straightener will have no problem spending the same amount of money on a television, a weekend getaway, etc.  It is a matter of what is important to each individual.
