Instead of Christmas items in July when most of the country is enduring a heat wave and thinking about mistletoe, how about good, old fashioned sale prices?
My newspaper and emails are full of offers for 30%-50% off. That’s where I’ll purchase if I need anything.

Aren't they having 3 days of fashion sales this coming week some time?

I dont like Christmas anyway and Christmas in July makes me cringe.
I do hope all the Christmas lovers out there find great things and enjoy!

@Krimpette Yes, a few clearance shows. Last week, they had a Simonton skirt on clearance!!! Maybe 6 yrs. or more since he’s been on Q? The warehouse’s oldest inventory will most likely be on those shows. They’re still selling Liz Claiborne and C Wonder on clearance.

@Krimpette I’m trying to imagine how many huge warehouses/shipping people/inventory personnel need to be paid to keep track of old merchandise that no one has wanted for 5 yrs. I’m sure that cost is passed on to us.
I suggested before that they to donate those old clothing & household items to the many existing worthy causes and needy people.

Maybe we'll go back to celebrating an American holiday like we used to. Even if you don't celebrate, surely you can enjoy some local fireworks?
Like what life used to be like before retailers ran holidays?

I’m with you. So tired of retailers using every holiday as another sales ploy.
Nobody seems to care about the meaning behind our national holidays anymore.

@Snowpuppy. Fireworks? With the drought in the Southwest, they have been banned by most communities. Even some of the municipal displays done by by professionals have been cancelled. The patriotic thing to do is to not buy or use fireworks.

Hot & dry here this week but it's been rainy and downright cold up here until last weekend. Rain is forecast for tomorrow night. No local displays canceled yet.
I'm just tired of consumerism lately and looking for meaning and purpose. Ya know? Like we used to have.
