I love having vendors back on set. Less interrupting by most of the hosts

That is the reason i like them better on set......the hosts totally took over while on remote.....the vendors many times would be interuppted while giving out pertinent information to the products by the hosts talking about

'nonsense'.....................

I prefer them on set -- it's just more enjoyable to watch. Many of them live in the Studio Park area anyway.

@QVCkitty1  Me too!  It was bumpy at first, but then eveyrbody got the hang of it.  I don't see the value of having guests and vendors in the studio anymore.

Large majority of vendors will never return on set. Sure, those who live locally or nearby might. Who would ever waste the time and expense traveling for a 5 minute spot or even a TSV? I have never had a problem w audio or video and their presence live or remotely has no influence on my buying a product.

I prefer them on set, especially for hair and makeup.  I don't like watching the hosts trying to apply makeup on top of their already too much makeup with the camera zoomed in.  The vendors applying makeup to themeselves remotely is awful.  You really can't see anythng and they're working with a still camera, so can't get a better shot.

Color is going to be an issue whether vendors are remote or on-set although it did seem colors were off more for the clothing shown remotely.  Occasionally, a host will point out that the color of the item shown on-air (on set) shows up differently on the screen than it does in person.

It's a retail business and is driven by key performance indicators (KPI's) and revenue. The decision on whether or not to return the vendors to set will be a financial decision. They're experiencing a slump and will be trying different things to improve their bottom line. They have clearly indicated the future for the Q is multi media. I personally prefer the live presentations with the vendor and models to get a better idea of color, fit, fabrication, and other details. I also enjoy the different personalities. For the Q, if returning vendors to the set increases sales then we'll see more vendors come back. That's the bottom line.

Vendors on set have no impact on sales. My color, audio and video are just fine with remotes. I'm sure Q execs realize expecting  all vendors to bear the expense, time and the current high level of Covid to return is never going to happen. Its 2022. Everything changes.

I prefer the vendors in person. The presentation goes smoother and is more relatable. I understand maybe not everytime but especially for TSV and then just sometimes. Video cuts out and products don't look as good/same on their home video.

@ellaphant   How do you know this?  Is it written somewhere?   A lot of things impacting a shopper's purchasing decision are subliminal. Then others would appear to have no direct relationship to sales, but they most certainly do.  QVC can see sales in real-time, in addition to their overall sales reports.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if certain Skyped presentations are yielding larger sales, and some other categories are lower.

I'm just so grateful that even for the vendors/brand ambassadors that are back in the studio, all that kissing appears to be gone.  That was so ridiculous and fake in every show all those years.
