I woke up today, Valentine’s Day, and noticed an email from QVC. Surprise! A $5 credit has been posted to my account to use until Feb. 18. I know $5 isn’t much but still a nice gesture.

Did anyone else get this email today?

Re: Valentine Q Credit Surprise

Nope, no mug, no candy, nor $5 credit.   I suppose the Q is waiting to send me the big pay off for being a super power customer.  I'll wait!😜

It would be a smart move on their part to give every good customer that or a 20% off coupon since most will use it to buy something they normally wouldn't.

I wonder how QVC decides as to who gets a reward and those who don't. Hmmm

Re: Valentine Q Credit Surprise

@sann Well, I know it's not based on how much money each of us spends on QVC.  THAT much I know.

I don't have a QVC credit card (or any credit card).  I pay cash for all of my purchases, but I do buy a lot of stuff on easy pay.

I agree that everyone should get something.  I think if you spend $50 (because not a lot of clothes are under $50 these days) or $5,000, you should get some kind of monetary acknowledgment that you are appreciated.

I'm not surprised though.  This is something we see everywhere (especially with QVC).  It's all about 'signing up' new customers.....to !@#$% with the regular customers.  Hummm???

Re: Valentine Q Credit Surprise

I forgot to say I did get a mug a few weeks back.  I seldom drink coffee or any hot liquids.

If there's one thing I don't need it's a mug with QVC on it.

Do you know I actually have Birkenstock sandals (2 styles, colors) with QVC all over them?

I bought them because I was young(er) and thought they'd be a collector's item.

You have to get nose to nose with me to tell they say "QVC" all over them (it's very, very small).  It just looks like blue and white.  I forget the colors of the other pair.

But I paid for those.  They weren't a gift.  I also thought it would be funny for my daughters to see them as I always get teased for my QVC addiction.

My youngest daughter lives in Denver.  She's teased me before that when she misses me she tunes into QVC because she's pretty sure I have it on one of my TV's in the house.

I use it for background noise AND mostly because it isn't the news...I'll do anything to avoid the news and the political pundits in the DC/Md/VA area.  Hate it.

Nothing received either!

@Annabellethecat66

Just curious, how do you use EZ pay without a credit card?  I always thought your credit card was billed in X amount of equal installments?

How do you do it without a credit card?

Re: Valentine Q Credit Surprise

@RespectLife  I use Debit cards.  I don't like credit cards.  I pay cash (debit card) for everything.

It is guaranteed just like a credit card.  I know this because once a few years ago, someone broke into a gas station pump (where I'd used my debit card) and the bank called me and had already put my money back into my account.

Some people (maybe some banks) don't guarantee debit cards (I have no idea).  I do know that my bank (and most banks) guarantee debit cards.

That way, no interest, no bills.  I've done this for many, many years.  I don't like having bills.  Don't want to mess with them.

The only one's I have are the regular ones, cable, etc.  Nothing large.
