so glad to be bagless!
gave them all up and enjoy using my dysons and sharks.
havent found them to be messy at all.
the debris easily dumps right into a garbage can with a bag.

Really would like a second vacuum. @vermint what version do you have of the Bissell?
@cindyNC It's a Power Glide Pet Slim Cordless...but it's several years old. I'm sure they have a newer version...bought mine on their website. I only get about 30 minutes of run time, but since I only do one room a day, that works for me. I won't hesitate to get another Bissell when this one dies.

I prefer a vacuum that is bag less. I have never found it messy or had an issue.
I just empty it outside into a trash can or into a used plastic grocery bag.
I hate the vacuum bags. If you accidently suck up something in error, you have to cut the bag open and go hunting through yuck. It's so much easier to just open the trap door and empty the vacuum out. Plus, I can empty it every time I vacuum and don't have to store dirt or smell a dirty vacuum bag in my house waiting for the bag to get full.

I have bought Sanitaire upright vacs for years and years with a bag. . I would never have a bagless heavy bulky looking vac just because it is bagless. We had a small vac store in my neighborhood for many years until a few years ago when the owner passed away. He hated bagless and never sold them new, said he makes a fortune repairing them or refurbishing them and selling the customer a new one with a bag. He liked Sanitaire and Panasonic. Sanitaire is now made by Electrolux, years ago it was made by Eureka.

I just spent 15 minutes emptying my bagless vacuum and then all the cleanup that is needed afterward. I want to go back to using a vacuum with a bag like how it was when I grew up. It was a quick change to toss the filled bag and put in in a new one. It was quick and clean. I ?don't care that I have to buy new bags. Worth it.
What is your opinion? Would you prefer to use a vacuum with a bag or do you like your bagless vacuum?
Why did it take you so long to empty? And then you had to cleanup afterwards?
It's never taken me that long to empty my bagless ever.
All I do is hold it over the trash can, deep enough so that things don't fly out and push a buttom and everything plops out.....super quick and easy, with no mess.
I have a dyson cordless and a shark upright plug in both bagless....

Another vote for bags. I have an upright original Electrolux (now owned by Aerus company). Fantastic vacuum. I bought a ProTeam vacuum to replace it because it was thirty years old.
I tried the bagless ones. I had to take the attachment from my upright to clean the mess the bagless made. I was cleaning the vacuum that is supposed to clean my house 🫤
