VPH Christmas shows done............

Thought it was odd that she will not be back before Christmas with her holiday items. Saw the show on Q2 today, and said it was her last Christmas show, and that she'll be back in January. Not that I bought any of her items, but is this a usual practice?

 I think she likes to spend time at home and preparing for the holidays. With the shows starting in July, so much has been sold and she's been doing it at her home.,

@charsha - Yes, Valerie always has her last show of the year in late October or early November so she can spend extended holiday time with her family. There will likely be more presentations of her items in other shows in the coming months, though—just not presented by Valerie.

Yes, she usually ends early.  I suppose QVC thinks it's too late for selling Christmas decor on-air.

Maybe, QVC thinks buyers will wait until decor goes on sale after Thanksgiving; however, there's risk of selling out and receiving too late to use.  I don't know.  QVC operates differently than other retailers.

Other retailers will be putting their decor on sale soon to get rid of it, but, except for one day in January, QVC waits until next July.  Meanwhile, buyers are purchasing sale items from other retailers while QVC sits on theirs.

I think they'd make more money if they sold their stock after Thanksgiving and purchased new things for July onward.  Instead it sits online and in their warehouses at QVC's retail price.

I may be different, but I want to see new things, not last's year's leftovers.

It seems that people decorate earlier for Christmas now more than ever so selling Christmas items beyond early November is probably not that profitable. In fact, on VPH's facebook page over a week ago when she did a FB live several commenters posted pictures of their already-decorated homes. If you ordered something even now chances are it would barely be delivered by Thanksgiving.

@1Snickers   I don't think Valerie has a say in it; qvc makes those decisions.  Wouldn't everyone like to be off 6 weeks before a holiday to get their own house ready - lol!!

QVC is not a place for last minute christmas decorating shopping unless you like the leftovers.

@charsha

It makes sense...it takes an average 10 days to 2 weeks to receive an order and most people decorate the day after Thanksgiving so decor pieces will arrive just in time. If shows were any later folks wont get items when they like to start decorating

.... I was shocked that Martha Stewarts decor was mostly advanced order and wont even ship until the November 26th or 28th.... I guess people that decorate late can order from Martha....

And as someone said, Valerie likes to take time off to spend with her family around the holidays...
