VERY INTERESTING INTERVIEW ABOUT QVC COMPETITION AND CUSTOMERS

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE view the video from Bloomburg....most interesting stuff comes at the end and what QVC's CEO thinks of QVC customers and the competition .....clueless....

http://www.businessweek.com/videos/2013-06-05/qvc-ceo-questions-whether-u-dot-s-dot-economy-is-impro...

Highlights....or is that low lights----

International operations are a biggie and U.S. appears to be second banana

Mike George said QVCs customers shop at Niemans and Nordstrams-. Mike does Claire know about this????--from what I've read on the blogs...I think most shop at Kohls, Macys, Dillards, JCP, Talbots, TJ Maxx, Lands End....so if QVC customers shop at Niemans and Nordstrams why are you selling Walmart quality clothing????.....

After 3 purchases a customers stays with QVC......really so how many Dysons and Viatamix's and Dell/Hps can one have......biggest sellers are beauty and kitchen...Note to SG not apparel no matter how much you are on!!!!

And its not the fact that you buy....its how you buy according to George.....they are impressed if you use your APP to view and buy merchandise....but arent you a shopping channel Mike.....and of course he heaps praises on IKWD and its loyal following...its a "lifestyle" show.....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

And when asked how he competes with Amazon....he kind of gave a wry smile, and complemented them on their transaction process. and said if you want a "cheap transaction" they are very good!!! Sorry Mr. George....they carry name brand stuff!!! Oh, and he said Amazon does not carry 94% of what QVC does---proof positive folks that QVC has limited products and inventory....afterall Amazon is so much more than Dyson, Dell, HP, Vitamix, Orthaheel, Sleep Number........{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}
