I've never had so much fun on just one post this evening. Nearly cracked a rib from

Look at your posts containing quotes and compare those to other posts quoting other posters (like this one for example).
In yours it's hard...... sometimes impossible........ to tell where the quotes stop and your words start.

@Mz iMac I totally agree with you. This one and there was another one going about toilet paper. I was ROFLMBO all night..
I was on a thread a day or two ago and shanus was making it sound like she was having trouble with people on the boards. She has to learn to join in, and realize no one is directing anything at her or anyone else. I buried my husband last march. I come here for fun and information. That is all. No one will stop me from having fun. I nor any of the other posters were even talking about her.

Sometimes no matter how much I find things humorous, once in awhile it does hit a nerve. I've learned that since I know very little about any of you, I speak from my heart, say what I feel, but try not to direct it at anyone." There but for the grace of God go I".
Maybe by tomorrow I'll look back on these posts and find them funny. Tonite? Not so much.

IMO all caps in the title is fine if it is a warning or there is some urgency to information provided but for routine inquiries or "chatty" type threads I take all caps as either shouting or announcing that the poster's thread is more important than other threads.
One would then think you would wish to avoid posting in a thread with all caps in the title then, since you find it so distasteful.

It's goal is to motivate people to rack up an ever higher number of posts, to gain a
"higher rank".
Your "rank" changes as you hit setpoints in your number of posts.
These designations aren't visible to anyone using the mobile view. That's a much more tidy setting.
And like anything, folks can get too caught up in them when they are nothing more than a made up incentive.
I was gone from here for a while and didn't come back until after they instituted the new forum. When I logged in I immediately knew my post count was off. I have no idea how many posts I had but I knew that I had more than what was showing given I used to post in some specific forums. In the end it makes no difference cuz who judges a person by their posting title?
They had two similar things on a forum I moderate. One was a title they had given beta testers and the other was reputation points. So many folks whined about the title that they just removed it rather than listen to adults continuously whine over something so ridiculous. They pulled the reputation points after I just happened to notice that each day one person's points went up five. Anyone could see who gave who a reputation point and I noticed the same person always gave this person points. When I clicked on their account, I noticed they had never posted and their only acitivity was giving this one person reputation points every night. Clearly they had created a second login from a different member account solely for that purpose. They were h*ll bent on having the most reputation points...LOL.

@esmeesmerelda No one else seems to have issues with my typing. I always try to copy and paste the previous post as I did here. If my posts are hard for you to follow then just skip over them.
