Re: Using pay pal to make a purchase

I feel the pain here too.  I spent a good deal of time yesterday trying to figure out how do do this. I am signed up on PP to do this but going further is where I falter.  Communications with PP was futile. I stated that I had read all the information on the PP site that was available and explained my specific issue and still I got a copy and paste response from the PP website in the email response.  I will either figure this out on my own or not get any refunds.

When I take my packages to the PO and and use the pre-paid label I get a receipt from the PO.  However, that receipt shows no cost.  The only thing I can think of now to show shipping to upload to the PP site is a picture of the label in addition to the other info they request.

I don't have a printer/scanner so that also created and extra layer to deal with.

@Mom2Dogs @avid shopper @NickNack @sunshine45 @mac116

I got a refund for my QVC return from PayPal or at least, documented thru PayPal.

At least by paying thru PP, I am seeing a BIT more clearly where my $ $ are going.

For a purchase made August 28th and returned on August 31, I was charged three easy pays! So I wasn't refunded my actual cost of the garment and the easy pays should have occurred in three months, not upon the first payment.

For a total cost (not including return postage) of $23.00,  my credit shows here $1.10! PayPal acct shows the refund at $9.99. The two do not agree. It would have been a better value for me to purchase in full and trash the garment!

And I bought two to try. So, in reality, it looks like I will be out $46.00.

PayPal has a resolution center and I'm considering using that.

@LTT1 ...sheesh.  To bad it is such a hassle.  Not sure I will use the feature...post back when you get it straightened out.

I need to pay more attention when ordering, I prefer not to use easy pay, especially on clothing but I believe that is the default.

I used Paypal to buy something from QVC because of the option of return shipping costs.  It was EXTREMELY difficult to get my $6.95 returned.  Multiple emails back and forth, uploading documentation for Paypal, getting a reply that my documentation was not correct, no success with chatline, REFUSAL to pay return shipping...you get the idea.  I persisted over the course of a week, and my $6.95 credit was put into my PayPal account, not returned to my credit card.

Moral of the story:  I will buy even LESS from QVC because of return shipping costs.

@mac116, I had the same problem and just gave up on it.

@SilleeMeehas gotten her shipping refunded easily with Paypal.  Maybe she'll see this thread and chime in.

@Mom2Dogs

This PayPal site will explain how to get a refund for your return shipping charges. This webpage explains how to active the service and what to do next. Just go here or copy and paste the link:

https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/what-is-return-shipping-on-us-and-how-do-i-activate-it-f...

Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions...there are a few limitations to using the service...no biggie.

@SilleeMee

How did you submit a receipt for return shipping cost (if used a Q SMART LABEL?)

thanks

@SilleeMee

So I guess I need to pay for my own label (and not use a smart label) when checking out with Pay Pal so I will have a receipt. 👌

Re: Using pay pal to make a purchase

@LTT1

When you go to the make a claim, your will see this on the webpage:

    How did you pay for your return shipping?
    -I paid the post office or a courier service.
    -The shipping cost was deducted from my return.

 Choose the second option and then you'll need to upload the email you got from the Q confirming the amount refunded to you. What PayPal needs is proof of  that that return label cost to send it back. PP will see that in your confim email.  You might have to upload a copy of your original receipt showing the total amount you paid and another upload showing what Q refunded to you...which would be less the amount shown on that return label.

Re: Using pay pal to make a purchase

@LTT1

Sorry about my post...weird.

Anyway, if you use the pre-paid label I would snap a pic of that and upload it to PayPal. Or if you use the PO then upload your receipt from them. PP just need prove of what it cost you to ship your item back.
