Re: Unofficial Survey - QVC Please Take Notes

I have not changed my shopping habits and am a regular watcher and shopper of The Q. With all of the programming offered, I can usually find something I like when I am ready to pull out my credit card. This week has been no exception.

Why have you have limited your viewing and/or purchasing from QVC?

These are my reasons:

1. 2-4 hour long shows from the same brands over and over - stop it!

2. Not enough new brands - they’re out there go find them!

3. Too many celebrities pushing their products - no comment!

4. Your daily show lineup doesn’t provide enough variety - boring!

My viewing of QVC product videos has not been limited, and I'm afraid I'm buying more than ever.  By the way, last time they had a 'free ship' day, I made all my purchases from my wish list. The product videos did their job. I didn't need to inconvenience myself by watching anything from a live broadcast.

Re: Unofficial Survey - QVC Please Take Notes

It's a ridiculous myth that 100 million or even 85 million homes WATCH QVC... they have access to QVC via cable or over the air but watching? No way.

I would wager even the most popular shows rarely have more than several hundred thousand viewers at a time.

I'd suggest a free S&H weekend for the real Black Friday. By then I'll be in the mood for Christmas shopping.

QVC is watched in 85 million homes, and 190,000 shoppers click the purchase button every single day. Not every week or every year - every single day. I don’t know how many contributors visit the forums every single day, but judging by the handful of same names we all see on a regular basis, I hardly think a poll taken here could reflect the opinion of the aforementioned number of people who actually shop the network.

@MaryLamb

Ill give you a response----

1. With people cutting the cord, and others not willing to even stream Q2 and Q3 that perspective shopping audience has dropped (go to Libertyinteractive-Qurates parent company and read the report where they talk about this).....

2.  QVC isnt attracting that many new customers (read the report) and they aren't certain those customers will even return to make other purchases.....

3. Meanwhile their current customer base has already bought all the vacuums, Kitchen Aid appliances, Air Fryers, Dura Flame Heaters, IT cosmetics, Argan Oil, Dyson fans, humidifiers, and same ole kids toys for Christmas for too many years...and are BUYING less...Again read the reports....sales are DECLINING, revenue is DECLINING....why is QVC taking cost cutting measures like pre-recorded programming if everything is going hunky dory?????????  It's important to keep the current customer base engaged and shopping!

4. ALL companies are interested in finding their customer pulse....everywhere I shop, online and in store I get a survey asking my opinion about the business, why do they bother using surveys which only a small number bother to return--because it helps them evaluate their businesses and see where improvements can be made to keep their viability in the market place....So even the feedback on these boards from a few is valuable to them (why do you think QVC goes through the expense of having a Forum).....

Re: Unofficial Survey - QVC Please Take Notes

Yes Im watching and buying less:

1. Uncompetitive prices, inconsistent sizing, quality of QVC clothing....as well as the style of ALL their clothing lines look alike these days....

2. Oversaturation--too much repetition same ole products, overlong presentations, presenting TSV over and over in the same show---this translates to less watching and buying...

3. The products are repetitive enough but when the Buyers introduce a few new products its just more of the same kind of things they already have on hand---QVC needs MORE UNIQUE MERCHANDISE AND BIGGER VARIETY, certainly not the SAME stuff I see EVERYWHERE...(example, how many vendors do we need presenting Lanterns???????)

4. I am NOT impressed with celebrity lines nor the mention of Oprah to see me products---interesting merchandise which is good quality is what generates an interest for me....

5.  Annoying hosts---those that dont do their homework on what they present, spend their time acting silly, or narcisstic, and then there's the endless, boring, unrelated personal stories....I want personality but some make it their personal talk show....
