I realize they are just doing their jobs, so I'll give them a pass on most things.

Have not watched anything in ages, but tuned in yesterday to some fashion show just to lift my spirits.

Would have been fine, but the host must have repeated 20 times that she was in a Small, but needed an XXXXXS.  Over and over and over.  Wondered if she would have said anything if she was in a Large, but needed and XXXL.  I don't think so.

I didn't care and, ultimately, it got on my nerves.

It reminded me of why I quit watching.

They are just doing their job with sales tactics they are taught and in between patter to fill the time in.  There is only so much that can be said after giving product information.  They would then be just standing there with the camera on the product.  I'm happy that I can watch for product information and look past all the other stuff and not be so bothered like so many here seem to be!

I think that's the major problem for me and I'm sure for others...... they, at most times, don't give important product information... a lot of times I've waited and waited for information, but nothing but insignificant banter for a time fill-in.... I think that's what makes me and others 'bothered'... as it's not necessary IMO.. so I don't hardly watch anymore....they may be doing their jobs, but we all don't have to like it....

I do like that they show the color availability at the bottom of the screen.  They do it for shoes and clothing, not sure why they can't do it for other items.  No need for the host to interrupt to do a constant update of colors remaining.  And I agree......if an color sells out (particularly in ITKWD), just place a "sold out" tag in front of the color.

The dreaded “only order of the year” is the nails on a chalk board moment for me.  Does the host lie? No, I don’t believe so.  But QVC knows good & well that line means nothing, except to make some customers run to order.   If it’s selling well, of course QVC buyers will do everything they can to get it back in quickly, and frequently it’s before the year is out.  Other than that, none of the other sayings bother me because I just tune it out, easily.

Let’s remember, it all works, or QVC wouldn’t do it.  They see their sales in real time.  If those interruptions didn’t work so incredibly well for their bottom line, they’d stop doing it in a heartbeat.  Sales bump up every time they say colors, and numbers sold.  So for those who find it irritating, there are thousands who keep those sales going up right at that moment.

So buckle up. If you watch QVC at all, those sayings will only increase dramatically now that their crucial 4th Quarter sales period has begun!

And so many of them couldn't close their jackets if their lives depended on it.

Re: Unnecessary info !

I believe they have over a thousand "manned" phone operators, so when those lines are full ... they say "Sold out."   That's usually B.S.   Not everyone is ordering the item currently on air.

I think all this unnecessary dribble could be alleviated if they just put a 5 minute--or less- time limit on an item.  Surely with the amount of inventory QVC has, it would very easy to show 15 items per hour than say 4 and sometimes only 1.  If less time would be spent on 1 single item maybe the hosts and vendors would talk more about important issues like sizing, fit, fabric, operating instructions, etc.  I'm also really tired of hearing about needing a top or pants 5 sizes smaller when most of the models and hosts are wearing items too small as it is.  They had a newer model poured into what she said was a 6 and she obviously needed a 10 or 12.

I'm also annoyed by "size down" or "size up".  When not manufacture the product to the appropriate size?  Like those NYDJ jeans this morning.
