My hubby was in the Family room with me reading the paper when I had it on. He asked me how I could sit and watch something like that....and you know ...he was right....
I always look forward to ITKWD...

Some here sure must have a low tolerance for differing personalties (or be so bored with life that they watch purposely to find fault to amuse themselves) as many hosts/vendors annoy them so much. Some appear to watch QVC (and expect everything to be exactly as they like) to the point of such bordom that they find the need to nitpick hosts' personalities, makeup, hair and clothing. I watch and buy because I want the product and nothing anyone ever says or does even makes any personal impression on me while I watch. I don't however watch constantly expecting entertainment! Everyone has differing personalities and it's ridiculous and an impossibility to expect everyone to conform to please everyone.

I tuned in for a few moments and caught her version of "The Happy Dance", that concluded with some kind of ballet turn "because she can". That was followed by some strange ballet move accross the set to the Temptations next item. I just shook my head and went on to another program.

I didn't catch the show last night, but it sounds like I didn't miss much.
When hosts and vendors start becoming loud and talking over each other and it becomes a hen house, I quickly change the channel.
Too bad MBR didn't host ITKWD. I think she does a good job on the cooking and food shows!

For me it's more the fact that the hosts and vendors on QVC have changed SO much since I first started viewing. Yes, time marches on.... and unfortunately the infomercials have inspired that "hawking, screeching" kind of patter that apparently sells on the infomercials.
The reason I started watching the Q was because the hosts and vendors seemed more sophisticated and generally seemed to have more class than the competing channels....
That has all changed and I believe it's due to the success of the infomercials (at least for awhile) being very successful. I think QVC thought they could be more successful if they changed the forumula. It might be working on the relatively new customers who see the crass yelling and selling elsewhere and think it's normal.
The rest of us find it offensive and crass....
Turn the channel? Oh I do, I do.....

Maybe it is a sign of the times......How many TV shows do the same thing....all the talk shows that I have ever watched....most of the sitcoms.......even some of the newspeople do it when they are interviewing some people and the 'Judge' shows.........everyone talks over each other

The hosts over at Evine are the easiest to take, IMO.

upset.
I agree! And the whole point of forums is for people to express opinions and share ideas. It's also highly likely that QVC is paying attention to what's being discussed here. Reading the same complaints over and over might motivate them to make some changes.
There's not one thing wrong with the OP starting this topic. How boring it would be if everyone loved everything and everyone agreed with everyone else!

For me (and from what I can tell, also for a lot of posters here), it's not at all about entertainment. It's about QVC supposedly being a shopping channel and yet some of the hosts get so far off track that simple descriptions of what they're selling fall to the wayside. And amid all of the laughing and silliness at high decibel levels, the products get completely lost.
Those of us who watch QVC (and I'll admit that I have pretty much given up on watching) expect to see products described so we can make decisions re whether we want to buy them or not. The hosts and vendors are important too, of course, but not when they dominate by gasping, squealing, talking over each other, speaking to people off-camera, dwelling on inside jokes, and talking at super-fast speeds.
Customers are watching to see items and to get information about those items. All too often some of QVC's hosts seem to forget that and the result is that QVC, which used to be pleasant to watch, is now unpleasant and unwatchable a lot of the time. There are still some hosts who do their jobs very well, so it clearly can be done.
