I love Christmas and I love decorating, but I don't like buying it in July. What annoys me the most, is they are forcing you to buy now if there is anything you want for Christmas as many things are selling out and not coming back. I wish they would wait until at least Halloween to start with holiday decorating items. I saw something on "recently on air" it actually aired at midnight, but it is sold out with no waitlist. I find it very annoying they are doing this so early with their famous "only order of the season" line. Its not even the right season for goodness sake.

@MomCat wrote:Geez. By your title, I thought you wanted July to fly by because of the heat. LOL The Christmas sales don't bother me at all. I know it's fun for many to plan ahead. Good for them. That's not me, but I do like it when these retailers show merchandise for the next season. I was sick of summer before it even got started.
My thought exactly!

Nicksmom-there are people who need to budget as well as like to get all of their holiday shopping done early. I'm one of them.
Some people hate the fashion, beauty shows etc just like some hate the holiday shows. We all have to endure or just not watch what we don't enjoy....but I need CIJ in order to make my holiday special and complete for everyone.

Everyone has different views and all opinions respected. Here's mine about Christmas season. I wish the season lasted from December 15 thru December 31st. All Christmas decorations have to be down by December 31st or you get fined by the Grinch Patrol. But seriously, I wouldn't mind if it only lasted 2 weeks a year.
Working too many retail holiday seasons as second job to cover young family's gifts has influenced my opinion. Plus, it's a holy season that's been turned into a circus.

I don't think anyone is whining - just harmless venting and learning we're not alone on the subject of holiday commercialism. No need for name calling. Let's all have a good day. Imaoldhippie already gave an apology to those who love Christmas. No harm done.

I think it is a shame and total waste of programming that with all the anti-Christmas in July viewers (or non-viewers) that they only sold close to 90,000 of the TSV by this hour.

@Marp Wow, that gives us an idea of how many people watch and rely on QVC. Judging by all the complaints about shipping, hosts, vendors etc. we see on this forum, millions of people do find QVC enjoyable and a good shopping resource. . I'm one of them! No complaints from me. I don't watch CIJ myself as I'm not in to Christmas yet, but many are and it's all good. There is still plenty other than CIJ on QVC in July to satisfy me.

I hope there is only 1 CIJ show in August but I doubt it. I never watch the shows. There is nothing I need or want to buy.

And what happens if you buy something & it doesn't work?
