Re: USPS going to the dogs

[ Edited ]

@Leeny  Well they claim the tracking number I have isn't theirs.   So who's is it?  THey claim Q does this all the time.  I don't buy it, I think that they are the numb nuts. They are the one that issues the numbers.

Going to be pissed if I don't get it.  First bracelet I ordered was on back order.  Then I contacted CS on here and Alice did a search and found out bracelet was discontinued and that I could not get it.  I ordered this one in it's place.   If I don't get this one , I am done!  Will not order another.

@BalletBabe

OMG. I am also waiting to hear back on a stolen ring that was taken out of my package that was put into my mailbox all torn by the post office ( as no body could have just taken it out of the box and stollen the ring and put it back into my mail box within 3 min. of delivery)  They were to call me with the investigation results back in JUNE.. I am still waiting.

@Lenny  What you were told is true.   It happens periodically and there was a rash of similar reports last week.

The following is the tracking information for a scarf I ordered on 11/19/2016 - very strange - look at the dates!  And the package is suppose to go to my address in Philadelphia.  I am not panicked because last week I had similar tracking information for an item which I did recieve in a timely manner!  So, obviously UPS, FEDEX, USPS,  QVC or whoever is responsible for the tracking information still has not fixed the problem.  My suggestion, again, (i have a previous post about this) is to be proactive.  Look at your estimated delivery date and if you don't receive your package by that date, then call customer service - they were very helpful to me last week!

don't be scared by my post of my tracking info for one little scarf (lol).  Just find the starting date of 11/20/16 and that's probably where my actual shipment starts!  I learned last week that there is a problem with some of the tracking information customers are receiving.  I did get an order last week that showed it had been delivered to someone's porch in Sparks, NV while I live in Philadelphia, PA.  I posted my tracking info just to show that there are problems with tracking information and that as a customer I had to follow through on where my package was with Customer Service.  And as it turned out the actual delivery to me only took about 5 days from day of order to day of receipt.  And in addition i only get USPS deliveries anymore and they have all been just fine.

@seamus2  Last year I ordered something from Amazon.  Looked it up and said it was delivered.  I had a po box at the time.  I got in line and asked where was this delivered?  Guy looked it up and said your package was delivered to NY.  I was like what?????  I Live in Florida and never lived in NY.  contacted the seller and he refunded my money.  I received it 3 weeks later.  I contaced the seller again and aid I will send it back to you but I am not paying postage.  He told me to just keep it.

I have 2 packages that were both sent on 11/16 from California to NY. My package sent USPS for $2.60 was delivered in less than 48 hours. That is amazing. The other package was sent UPS ground- it was Travelon wallets ordered from QVC. Why they shipped from California I have no idea. I don't know the postage cost but pretty sure it was double or triple the $2.60 the USPS got. As of today the package is on time and expected on 11/25. Nine days. Needless to say I think USPS does a fantastic job. I also think these wallets could have been sent in a Priority Flat Rate bubble envelope for less than the UPS ground rate & I would have had them last week. I realize the wallets weighed more than the other item but still think the USPS would have gotten them here faster & cheaper. 9 days is a long time for a package to be in transit.

I've never had a problem with the USPS.  Never with receiving items I've ordered or with me being the shipper.  There was one time when I ordered something from EBAY and the package went to another state.  I did get the package, but when I looked at the shipping label, it was 2 inches by 2.5 inches on a pretty big package.  So I can understand the delay...  What bothered me was the fact that the shipper printed my address so small.....   I think they do an excellent job with what they've got to work with....
