I really don't want to have to pay for Express shipping on all of my purchases but this UPS transferred to the USPS for delivery isn't working in my area! My candles were melted and ruined - they went from UPS to the Post Office and sat there for 3 days in 89 degree weather! Now, My Mother's Day Gifts, were transferred from UPS to USPS two days ago are still not out for delivery! They move them around the Post Office and they will probably be delivered mid week. Everything that goes from the UPS to USPS, the USPS "sits" on it in my location and it takes approximately another week to reach my home. I called QVC and the Rep told me the only way to avoid this is to ship Express which adds too much money to the item costs. I'm really frustrated! I've been a QVC customer for years and I really like some of their products (Valerie Parr Hill, Slatkin, Vionic, Cheryl's cookies, Dooney, Travelon, Canon).

@Breamy, check out the UPS My Choice program. Either the free or paid options may suit your needs.
Complaining to your local post office first in person then online may do some good.

Sorry you are having this problem. In my area, UPS hits the Post Office around 1pm. I can pick it up the same day. The Post Office is only too happy to get UPS packages out of their way.

I'd talk with the folks at the local post office.

I would complain directly to the Post Office.
I do not order another from Q that is time sensitive, I will not pay for express delivery so I do not mind waiting.
Our UPS and USPS must have temp. controlled buildings on the East coast as I have never had items damaged by temperatures, even with delayed delivery.

Great advice. This can probably be resolved by finding out more info. I've never had anything ruined like that. I worry more about it riding around in a hot UPS truck more than what happens at the post office.

I don't have that problem, my packages go from UPS to Usps and Usps delivers them the day after they receive them. Usps delivers on Saturdays so the only time I have to wait an extra day is Sunday. Neither UPS nor Usps can control the weather. Pay for the express delivery, that is your only other option. Sometimes, it works the other way around. I received a UPS notice that said my package was supposed go to Usps but UPS would deliver themselves. So I received it a day or two before I expected it. As for gifts and holiday items, I don't cut that close. I always order those things early because "stuff happens".

@Breamy I understand your frustration completely. Now that QVC is doing the UPS to USPS delivery, my packages are taking 3-4, days longer to get to me. I can see it on the tracking that the package is in my area, yet it'll take an additional 3-4 days to get to me through the USPS. I live in a large metropolitan area too.

I feel your pain. I have not too many issues with QVC, but other sources are nightmarish with the handoff to my local post office. Right now I have been waiting for a package that was supposedly at my post office last weekend and out for delivery on Monday. Now the package has been marked in tracking as “delayed.” My post office just says, “The package seems to be lost.” Growl. Naturally, my regular mail carrier was not in last Monday when the package disappeared. But those UPS packages seem less important in the local post office. They do get moved around and delivered when someone feels like delivering them.

The UPS to USPS delays any packages 3 to 4 days in my area. I have called the local USPS here twice, but they don't change the procedures. It is what it is, and I have begun ordering from other retsilers when I can get the same or similar product because of this.
Example: Tatcha beauty website has the same productx as they sell on QVC. Price difference is the shipping, but Tatcha ships free so same price, plus they give free samples, and my order arrives express delivery in two days
That is all.
