Re: Two orders in one package

[ Edited ]

@GingerPeach

Read my thread in CUSTOMER CARE I complained about the same thing, and my 2 SMALL items were shipped together in a HUGE BOX totally different type of products and vendors too....But of course I was still charged full shipping for both items...........And that HUGE BOX was totaly unnecessary and cumbersome to pick up from the postal center.......

Add to my post and tag MELVIN-QVC he was going to forward my comment to the warehouse and maybe he can do the same for you.  The more feedback they get perhaps the Q will do something....but dont hold your breath............

@CareBearswrote:

@granddi IF you are lucky, from what I have been reading here on the Forums QVC charges people incorrectly all the time for Return fees even when they pay for it themselves, QVC needs to amp up their policies if they want to continue to be a choice where people go to shop.  Other vendors combine orders and give you a discount on shipping or they do not even charge a shipping fee, why qvc does not jump on the band wagon, is beyond me?  Walmart even gives you free shipping with a $50.00 or more order?

@CareBears

It appears that QVC is relying on shipping charges for profits instead of sales of merchandise so that's why they have these odd policies. Their revenues for USA-QVC had a ZERO increase so they are saving on shipping materials and charging customers the same shipping fee even though orders are combined.....I got 2 tiny items in a HUGE BOX....that was ridiculous!!!  And of course charged the full shipping fee ............Woman Frustrated

I personally think it’s a dishonest business practice to charge separate shipping costs, yet ship items together as one shipment.

@SurferWife

I dont know why they cant go back to what they used to do....if you ordered 2 of the same item on the same day same order they would charge 1/2 shipping on second item.  So why cant they charge 1/2 shipping for multiple orders completed on the same day..????????????????

Re: Two orders in one package

I'm an eBay reseller and have been since 03.  This kind of thing has been a huge problem for sellers on eBay who charge shipping.  It's ok to combine shipping but the sellers must give the customer a nice break in shipping costs.  If not, the customers won't stand for it, as a matter of fact the eBay seller's sales will plummet if they don't have free or very low shipping....

With all the companies out there offering free shipping, and considering how much QVC is now charging for their merchandise, they need to step forward better than they are...

Hi @Spurt  Thanks for the link to the other post about ship costs.

In this one, about 1/2 costs, it would work except I remember shipping used to be $6.99 and then the half cost was $3.00.  So now we're already saving the first $3.99 of the original shipment.  (To be fair to QVC.)  Otherwise, I don't see why the whole $3.00 is for actual shipping.  Insurance I understand.  Or even "handling."  But not for actual transport in trucks or cars or planes for the very same box or package.

Re: Two orders in one package

The same thing happened to me.  Same box but charged s&h for each item as if they had shipped seperately.

Re: Two orders in one package

I have had multiple orders in one box several times lately.  On two occasions l did not receive items listed on the invoice and had to call CS.  On one occasion I received a hoodie that I did not order so I sent it back. Tonight I received it wadded up in a box saying it was returned as “customers personal property” which it is not.

I have shopped QVC for 20 years and this is the first time I have had problems with order shipments. I am very quickly becoming concerned about ordering, especially after I received a wadded up “personal item” that isn’t mine and two shipments without the listed items

Like the Q but something isn’t going well in shipping and fulfillment.

Re: Two orders in one package

Maybe this is why items are "processing" for a long time before they are shipped out: they need to find large boxes.

Re: Two orders in one package

This has caused me a problem when I had to return one of the items but not the other I had to tear off the bottom part with me instructions, but what if I decided to return the other item while still in the time frame?  You have nothing to attach with the return.  Especially an issue when they put two different item numbers in one bag.
