Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I got the two step one for the boards (which doesn't need to be super secure, surely?) and just the old one step for my order history (which should be more secure than the boards). So currently they have it the wrong way round. But there doesn't seem to be any consistency, from what people are saying here, so maybe they're still fine-tuning it.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

Whether it involves one step or two, it's pretty easily done.

I'm all for more security.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I started a thread about this very thing... I only have to sign in once now. A few days ago I had to sign in twice. The sign in page looks a bit different to me then before. I was also having trouble signing in period ,with my password I would get error reports. QVC finally fixed these bugs in there website so everything is fine now.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I just encountered this change for the first time. It's a change. Maybe there's a good reason. Yep, it was easier the other way, but this isn't such a big deal for me. Now that gosh awful program guide, that's a big deal and they really ought to do something about it! The whole idea is to see at a glance what's on, not read a dissertation in the process...

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I had a world of trouble signing in on my computer but not my ipad nor iphone. I sent an email just now and when I checked my email, and came back it worked. hmmmmm I couldn't type in my password, there was no space. I HATE difficulties in my life. I'd just as soon not go there if it's troublesome.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

My user name comes up, then I have to click on that to get the space to add my password. Very odd. But so much of this website is odd at some time or another.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

Not a day goes by that there is not a problem with this website. Having to sign in twice from now on and yesterday I could not even sign in. [a lot of people were complaining about it from what I read].

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I pay bills and bank on several sites which have changed to this format. As noted above, I believe it is for enhanced security.

Re: Two Step Login Process - Why?

I couldn't log in at all last night. I kept getting the message that QVC.com was unavailable. I emailed them, and got the usual canned responses, such as clear your cookies, use a different browser, etc. I'd already tried 4 different browsers, and two different computers. They just won't admit that the problem is at their end!

Oddly, for me, for the last couple of days it is sometimes a two step process, and other times it is the same old one step process. No rhyme or reason.

I totally agree! This is just what I've experienced too!?
