I feel your friends pain. Abut two or three weeks ago I had to call Air New Zealand to get my refund since my vacation to Australia has  been cancelled. Same thing. I was on hold for an hour and a half. 

 

I just put the phone on speaker, because that is just how it's going to be for pretty much all businesses for awhile.
