I noticed that as well.  I purchased a Jai John Hardy fish charm recently and there was no tracking info.  Every time I clicked on the tracking number it read something like, unfortunately there is no tracking info for this package.  I received it yesterday.  (Really nice piece, too)!  It used to annoy me but it is what it is.  As long as I get it and the package hasn't been torn open and the item is intact I don't give it much thought.

USPS has the worst tracking.  I don't see tracking until it's out for delivery.  It's always been that way for me.

No tracking, yet my husband brought up something 2 days early that was left outside.  Disconcerting because had someone on the street decided to do outdoor shopping, I wouldnt have known.  And there is a do not leave packages outside sign by the door.  And I do have a doorbell.  And I was home.  So, wazup?

i am wondering if on these $3 shipping packages if QVC has dispensed with paying for tracking info  totally.  very weird that the numbers don't bring up tracking here or even at usps site many times.

USPS decided they'd SAY they have tracking so they could play with the big boys but they're too inefficient to keep it updated.  They've contracted with UPS and FedEx to deliver the packages they get to the destination city.  They turn them over to the post office and there they sit until it's convenient to deliver them. Saves the shipper a few pennies.  They call it Surepost.

AFAIC there is in actuality no such thing as USPS tracking, because no data is ever entered by the PO.  The postal workers simply do not enter it at any stage. They *may* (or may not) enter something as "delivered" when like UPS does so often, they might have dropped it on a street corner or in a dumpster or gifted it to your neighbor.  But since they SAY it was delivered, try getting your merchandise or money back (non-QVC).

I have a good relationship with my mail lady and she does enter the tracking when she picks up from me or delivers.   I spoke to her about the tracking and she said it should show the tracking.   But I now only see the tracking at the end of the line..my house.   Nothing from the time it leaves till the time it gets to my house.  Mail lady said they were not doing their job.    She told me to call PO and complain but that always gets me no where.

Also, I live in a gated community and we have no problems with UPS leaving packages by our front doors.   In fact, my front area has plants and trees which enclose my front door, so know one can see what is left behind.

Recently I spoke with customer service about the fact that on Monday when I checked my order was in one area then checked several days later only to hear it was in the same place. Customer service explained that the post office doesn't update tracking information regularly and that's why it's usually behind and wrong.  I don't bother checking on my orders tracking info anymore.

I never received a package from QVC, because USPS put something over my address label, and the postman couldn't see it.  I wasn't notified abut this for several days - and kept expecting it to be delivered. The tracking said it was out for delivery, but that never happened.  I had to call USPS and find out where it was.  They informed me that it was sent back, because they couldn't see the address label. The item is sold out now, and isn't expected to come back in stock.  QVC did reimburse me for the item, though. I keep getting my neighbor's mail in my mailbox, and have called USPS 4 times to report this.  USPS mail service is very discouraging.
