Probably not on some of the more expensive items.

I would have to try several mattresses in person before I buy. A description is subjective and not enough for my comfort.

Am pretty sure the hosts get samples sent to them to try--not sure but the heavy stuff like mattresses and and chairs. Have heard them say that they did get items to try tho, many times.

For the amounts they sell?  Any company would be happy to give the hosts a sample if they want one.  It's a calculated cost of business.  You have to give samples.  It is done and expected.

I was indicating food not shoes, etc. I read reviews does anyone else. I've written reviews and qvc doesn't post them.

@finewoman   This past weekend, Dave was presenting some sort of breaded chicken.  He stated the company sent him some to try out.  Dave stated he sent the chicken back because it was not "crunchy" enough.

The company added potato coating (gagme.gif) sent back which Dave confirmed was spot on!

I don't for a second believe these hosts are purchasing everything they sell. The vendors ship them free product.

I have heard hosts that they have been given a product to preview.  Assume that means free?  When I think back, it was usually skin care I think.  Never clothing.

How do you know QVC offers a 20% discount for employees? Many retailers offer 10-15%. Where do you get that figure?

I very much doubt that they receive "free" TSVs for each product.

Food, candy, beverages, chips, pretzels, cookies, cake, skincare samples, absolutely.

Possibly just on food products.  Mary Beth said this morning she'd been sent some steak samples.
