Lonolife can be purchased at QVC.  Amazon has it also.

When any of you who take supplements by mouth noticed an increase in facial hair? Just wondering. I mean if they help grow hair on the head wouldn't it increase hair every where?

My hairdresser had mentioned that another patron started using Nutrafol and was pleased with the results BUT complained that hair was growing in other places that she was not happy about.

I started using Nioxin 1 (non-colored hair) a few months ago and can tell a difference, though nothing dramatic. I don't have as much hair to clean out of the tub drain after washing. I like how it gets my hair clean without stripping it.

Nioxin is meant to work with heat - hair dryers, stylers, etc. I usually let my hair air dry though. If I style it instead of air drying, it does show a better difference.

I also use the Nioxin 1 conditioner on the bottom half of my hair and then a leave in conditioner all over. My favorite leave in is Matrix purple for gray hair - it makes the gray shine, hair softer without going limp, and controls static/frizz.  Redken bonding leave-in is also good.

@CalminHeart  I used Nioxin 1 for years (i have natural brown hair) and when I ran out decided to try other products.  I'm going back to Nioxin as it works best for my fine hair.  Like you, not much difference but still my favorite.

My dermatologist recommended Rogaine and it could work, depending on the reason for hair thinning but you have to use it forever or the new hair growth will fall out. The same is true for Keranique. Nutrafol might help if the hair loss is due to surgery, medication, depression, etc., but it is expensive and results aren't guaranteed.

I would love to try a laser like Hairmax, but I keep keratin fibers in my hair at all times to cover my sparse spots and the lasers will not penetrate thru them.

@Shelbelle I use the headband Hairmax right after my shower while my hair is still wet.

Thanks, but for me that is only once a week.

If you have unchecked or uncontrolled high blood pressure then that is one cause of hair loss. Blood flow to hair follicles gets reduced when blood flow is restricted from HBP. No amount of supplementation will help with hair loss in that case. Take care of blood flow to the follicles and things could turn around. Minoxidil (Rogaine) works by dilating the blood vessels which feed the hair follicles and so the follicles get the nutrients to promote hair growth.

I started using my dh's capillus cap a couple of weeks ago.

Has anyone tried or heard of good results from prp treatments?
