Title of shows "gifts" means nothing!  Please QVC give us a clue if the show is about jewelry, clothing, kitchen or something!

I don't watch but I do shop here online.  I won't even click a show that just says gifts.

This has been mentioned before and one year in the past it got better.  This year it has started even earlier.

@Jackhound MomI think your idea works well for those who already know what kind of thing they want to buy.

I usually know what kind of things I WON'T buy, but all too often I want to watch a show with variety or browse in a local store that offers a variety.

If I already know I was looking for a piece of jewelry for a gift, then I'd just watch a jewelry show -  doesn't matter at all to meif it's a gift show.

Same true for any other category -  except clothing or shoes --   I don't buy in those categories for anyone  but myself and I don't want gifdts iin those categories either!   (Could be just me, but I really don't think so.)

Hi @millieshops

I'm glad you like these show titles & shows.  I think it was yesterday that every show was "gifts."  I didn't look at a single one. JMHO  Thanks for writing!

Usually these "gift" shows have a wide variety of unrelated merchandise which is why they're not labelled by type.  As far as I'm concerned, they're a waste of time.  Who wants to sit and watch for hours to see one item you MIGHT be interested in?  Easier to scan "items recently aired" in 30 seconds or less.

Many of us old-schoolers enjoy watching it Live and seeing the hosts intereact with the vendors during their entire 2-4 hour shift.  Then again, the younger generation is so impatient maybe they dont want to watch Qvc for 12 hours a day. I suppose those people just scan the recently aired items.  Sadly the hey-day of QVC will never return. Once Kathy left it all started going downhill.  Kathy was such a strong persona. They have never been able to replace her.

I understand your point for those who watch continuously for entertainment or whatever. I stopped doing that long ago so for me I just look at recently aired and view videos of what I might be interested in. I do remember the old days when shows were more interesting and I would look forward to weekends of watching, not to mention MBR and the weekly Sunday 3:00pm doll shoe or Boyd’s Bears.

I may be the minority - have QVC, QVC2 or HSN on 16 hours a day. The hosts feel like family members. I like that aspect and will miss it if QVC ever transitions to all Digital.  Its the same reason I frequent my local Kohls. Ive gotten to know all the gals behind the counters and the manager.  Shopping is supposed to be a social experience not a "click" experience on phones or computers.  The cell phone has destroyed inter-personal relations. People are addicted especially those under 40.

Oh yes, just as they do every year and have been doing every year in recent memory... The dreadful 'generic' gift shows... As if I'm going to sit, glued to the screen for mulitple hours, with eyes glazed over in boredom for 99% of what they show on the off chance that something I'd actually consider to be a desirable gift shows up... No... Not happening... More to the point, the vast array of merchandise they pack into these shows is both not appealing and presented literally dozens of times throughout the several months they'll be relying on those same generic gift shows, falling under a variety of names, to move the goods...

I think ‘gift’ shows would be better if there was more variety. QVC has so many products that rarely get air time. While scratching around the website I found a radio toaster (K383122).  I’d like to see that presented.

‘Tis the season of flashlights and flameless candles. My credit cards thank you.
