Let me start quickly by saying this is not meant to bash anyone in particular and I am actually a fan of the Q. I don't purchase that much, but enjoy the background noise and flicking over during commercials (although I laugh at myself that I won't watch commercials but Q is a giant commerical)...

anyway, so this is more supposed to be a poke fun post, not a complaint and hopefully other commentators will understand this is light-hearted in spirit!

I never fall for the "people will think you spent $$$$ on this bag, jewerly, coat, insert item"...I NEVER assume anything I'm seeing is real nor do I even pay attention! If I saw someone in a fur trimed coat, I would never think it's real fur, same goes with diamonds, big purses, bedding, etc.

And maybe I just don't have the lifestyle and there are real women out there who take a 'four-figured' bag to the grocery store, but I am none the wiser, again if I even look. It's the opposite in fact, someone would have to be not mainstreamed for me to notice them, I rarely notice the actual fashionable people! and by not mainstream I mean funky hair, funky clothing, etc....

but if you're just a normal person in jeans and a sweater carrying a purse, chances are no one is even looking up from their shopping list, much less long enough to dissect how much your purse cost!

and...even if I could tell the difference between a real posh four-figured bag and a knock-off, I'd actually have the opposite reaction...not bag-envy rather bag-pity and I'd think you were crazy to spend that much on a bag (even if you have the money, not against people spending their own money, do what you want.. I don't find value in a thousand dollar bag regardless of how much money I had)...

who are these four-figure bag, real fur, diamond draped women?! aren't most of us just normal...go to work, go home, run errands and perhaps an occasional night out where I usually keep my purse in the car anyway ?

anyway, this is not to bash those who choose to dress up of course or have expensive stuff, I just thought I'd comment that I think it's sort of funny when stuff is compared to things most of us aren't even considering!
